Embrace the Peace of God (For It Surpasses All Understanding)
Did you know that there is something even greater than your understanding? There is something that transcends all of your thoughts, ideas, and perceptions. There is something that surpasses all of your contemplating, perplexing, figuring out, analyzing, dissecting, and researching. There is something that reaches past speculation, observation, and evaluation. It is the peace of God.
Did you know there is something that is greater than our human minds can fathom? Its greatness and awe cannot be comprehended by the human mind because it surpasses all understanding.
Consider these scriptures:
Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 55:8, 9 says: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, smith Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Ephesians 3:19, 20 and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
We as human beings try to put God in a box and have Him all figured out. We already have in mind what to expect when we pray, we have a plan of what God is going to do, God forbid if He wants to do something different. And so we think and contemplate and figure out what God wants to do, all the while God is waiting for us to get out of our heads and into Him. He has something waiting for us that will rock our world, but it will not fit into our little boxes we have put Him. He wants to transform us but we must surrender our mind and heart over to Him and let Him do the thinking for us.
God gives us everything we need. All knowledge, understanding, and revelation, but it comes out of intimacy with Him. As we enter His rest and peace, we surpass our human understanding and enter into Godly wisdom and revelation. We enter into peace, healing, and rest, something that is difficult for us as humans because we must lose control and give Him complete and total control. But, if we will do this, we will enter into something that cannot be fathomed by the human mind, something so wonderful and excellent that it surpasses our human understanding.
