Genesis 6:5-12 And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And Jehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the ground; both man, and beast, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, and perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

How would you like to be the only one in the world that is like you? The bible says the whole earth was corrupt except for Noah and his family. Despite what everybody else was doing, Noah stayed faithful to God. He didn’t allow the opinions of man to influence his relationship with God. He didn’t compromise. He didn’t bow, he didn’t give in. Noah refused to conform to the corrupt world that He lived in.

Can I ask you, are you allowing the opinions of others to negatively influence your relationship with God? Are you being less on fire for God than you would otherwise because you are afraid of offending someone or some group? Are you afraid of losing some friends because you won’t be like them anymore? Maybe they’ll think you are a Jesus freak? Friend can I tell you that if you let anyone cause you to love Jesus less, you have made that person or group more of God to you than God himself.

Jeremiah 17:5 -8 Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat cometh, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Don’t let man hinder you relationship with God at all! Not one bit! Be on fire for God! Pray for revival and if your “Christian” friends are really Christian then they will be happy to see you on fire for God! Dare to be different and not like all of the other religious and luke warm Christians!
