The easiest way to lose your faith is to begin to focus on reasons not to have faith anymore in what you have believed. This includes focusing on peoples failures, mistakes, and sins. The more a person focuses on something the more that very thing will enlarge in his or her life. What you focus on will increase in your life.
So, if we focus on someone’s failures and mistakes, the probability increases that we will make those same mistakes. Whatever you want more of, focus on that. If you want more of Jesus, His love, His grace, His mercy, His favor, His blessing, then focus on Jesus and those things.
Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
