You’ve heard of weapons of mass destruction right? Well, there are weapons of mass distraction. Yes distraction. Distraction is something taking your attention away from something that you are trying to focus on. Because of this distraction you can not see or hear that which you are trying to focus on.
The bible says this about Satan: “The thief comes not but to steal, kill, and destroy.” (John 10:10,11) That is exactly what Satan is doing when you are distracted from your vision and purpose in life. If Satan is doing this in your life then he is stealing precious and valuable things from than are not easily replaced: your time, your energy, your peace, your initmacy with God, your knowledge of God’s word, time with your family, your health, your visions and dreams God gave to you.
If Satan can keep you running around like a chicken with his head cut off, he has you right where he wants you. Tell Satan, “Get out!” and then begin to reevaluate your life according to Priorities. Are you spending more time watching TV than with God? Are you spending more time hanging with friends than in God’s word? Are you spending more time playing Playstation or surfing the Internet than praying? Beware of the weapons of mass distraction that Satan will try to entangle you with!
