(All scriptures are New King James version unless otherwise stated)

Romans 14:17

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost

  • Its not fleshly
  • It’s not material
  • It’s spiritual
  • Righteousness, peace, and joy are all things which can not be touched

  • The kingdom of is ….. righteousness, peace, and joy

– When you remove “not meat and drink” you can a clear statement of what the kingdom of God is

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

  • The kingdom of God is in, centered around, inside, interdependent upon the Holy Spirit

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS…IN THE HOLY GHOST.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  • the kingdom of God does not pertain to things of this world
  • the things which we are so concerned about here on earth, most of those things do not even exist in heaven

– we don’t need to eat in heaven

– we don’t need clothes in heaven

– Jesus prepared a mansion for us. There is not rent, we can’t get evicted

– We will have no hospital bills in heaven

  • The kingdom of God does not pertain to these “things”

Mark 10:23 (NKJV)

Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”

  • Rich people have everything materially that they can want
  • Jesus says it hard for people who have every material thing that they could want or have (rich people) to enter the Kingdom of God
  • The kingdom of God does not cater to our flesh
  • The kingdom of God is not about material things which you can see or touch with your 5 senses
