1. Lack of Information

One reason people fail at weight loss is because they don’t have enough of the right information. When it comes to diet they don’t know what to eat, how much to eat, how often to eat, when to eat, and most importantly – why to eat. When it comes to exercise people don’t know what exercises are best for weight loss, how often to exercise, and how to do the exercises. People don’t know how many calories they should eat in a day, how much they should weigh, and what are realistic goals to achieve their goal weight in a reasonable amount of time.

 2.  Lack of Motivation

Another reason people fail is for lack of motivation. You can have all the information in the world but if you are not motivated you are not going to lose weight. That’s why you absolutely have to find something or somebody that is going to keep you motivated consistently over the long haul. For me it was watching The Biggest Loser every week and seeing all those huge people lose all that weight. Every week their pain was my gain. I was inspired to press on, just like they were.

Motivation in my opinion is the single most important thing when it comes to weight loss because if you are motivated enough, everything else will take care of itself. If you don’t have enough knowledge, you will seek out that knowledge until you find it. If you don’t have the necessary resources to do what you need to do, you won’t stop until you get those resources; which brings us to the last reason why people fail…

3. Lack of Resources

The last reason why people fail is lack of resources. You can have knowledge, you can be motivated, but if you don’t take the time and spend the money to buy the things that you need to do what you need to do, you are most likely going to fail. If you want to lose weight you will need to invest some of your time and money in some if not all the following things:

  • New Running Shoes
  • Jogging Suit
  • Gym Membership
  • Low Calorie Cook book
  • Hear Rate Monitor
  • Sport Equipment
  • Extra Socks/Towels/Headbands
  • Tshirts, shorts
  • Vitamin Supplements
  • Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
  • Leaner but more expensive meat, such as Turkey meat vs. Bolgna
  • New knives, cutting board, and Tupperware for slicing and storing healthy snacks like carrots
  • Books/Magazines on Health/Weight Loss
  • Health and Wealth Loss Coaching

Any one of these three reasons can stop anyone from losing weight, but it doesn’t have to be you. Determine today that you will get the knowledge you need, find something that will keep you motivated, and commit to spending the time and money to buy the things you need to lose weight. I know you can do it, because God is with you and with God, all things are possible!
